As far as I’m aware, Customizers are used to modify data sent to SaaS connectors.
Is it still possible and supported to use a Before Provisioning Rule to modify the Provisioning Plan before it’s sent to the SaaS connector for execution? (in my eyes this is executed before it would be sent to the connector and before customizers are run)
I think the only applicable operation is performed via Customizers as it is mentioned in the documentation that you can modify the information consumed by the connector or modify the output provided by the connector. And I dont see any reference to a BeforeProvisioningRule.
I think Before and After Provisioning Rule’s alternative are customizers.
Before and After Operationrules are, as I see it, replaced with customizers.
Since the Before Provisioningrule has to do with the provisioning plan and not the input/output data I’m not sure what is supported in relation to SaaS connectors.
Before Provisioning Rules are not mentioned in any connector documentation since it’s a global feature.
We do have evidence of it working already in some part (Add Argument to provisioning rule), but the other part does not seem to work (Remove Entitlements).
Just as an update, we were able to solve all our issues with the removeEntitlements by changing the operation to “Modify”.
So yes, I can confirm now that Before Provisioning Rules are supported with SaaS connectors.
