Looking for some best practices on the attribute sync configuration on the source.
Recently we have enabled attribute sync on an IDN Web Services Source. The sync has been set up for only 1 attribute but somehow we are facing the issue that attribute sync is running update call for all the attributes for all the attributes. As it fails to update all the attributes its keep retrying.
We do have Update User API call setup with Update Provisioning Policy with all the attributes
We opened a ticket with Sailpoint team, and they mentioned we should not have Update PP if we want to enable the Attribute Sync.
What I am trying to understand is the reason behind it and what happens to update user API call if we remove the Update PP.
