Approve/Deny Requests via E-Mail?

Which IIQ version are you inquiring about?

8.2

Has anyone ever implemented “approve/deny via e-mail” in IIQ? ServiceNow and some other platforms have the ability to send an e-mail with request details, and the recipient can click on a link in the e-mail that replied with either approve/deny details. Can the same be implemented in IIQ?

It was there in older version of SSD, but then removed later due to the use of old email technology.

It’s very easy to construct a link in the email that a user can click to take the user to the approval page, but automatically selecting approve would be a next step, and I am not sure that’s possible without using a REST interface.

Yes, the e-mail itself is the easy part. We already send out e-mail notifications. It’s the automated approvals I was curious about.

I recall that SailPoint Expert Services developed this feature for a client. I recommend reaching out to your Customer Success Manager (CSM) for further assistance.
