With the new source WebService screen, I can no longer find the username and password fields to use “$application.password$”

By choosing a Basic authentication type, the username and password fields are revealed.

When I put the password and go back to Custom, the password is cleared from the field!

you can use api to set password while selecting “custom auth” from ui. It would not clear it out.
