Why A Developer Community Blog?
We’ve had so many great submissions from the community in the Show and Tell categories (#idn:show-and-tell, #iiq:show-and-tell) that we’ve decided to launch a dedicated category for blog posts related to development and extensibility on the SailPoint products. Check out our new #community:blog category to hear from the community and from SailPoint employees on various thoughts and ideas on how you can extend SailPoint.
How Does It Work?
The Blog category is not a replacement for the Show and Tell categories. Show and Tell will remain a place for the general community to share your ideas and tools, both big and small, with each other, with no restrictions or approvals needed to post. The #community:blog category will be the home for long-form technical write-ups authored by Developer Community Ambassadors and SailPoint employees.
Developer Community Ambassadors, you say? Interested in contributing a blog post? Since blog posts have stricter requirements for publishing than show and tells, you must first become a SailPoint Developer Community Ambassador. We are currently piloting this new Ambassador program with some of your fellow community members, and you can expect to see an announcement this summer with details on how to become an Ambassador. You may see them around—they’ll have the title “Ambassador” next to their name. Keep an eye out for their support and contributions!
What’s Next?
You tell us! While we have a calendar of items that we’d like to release, we want to hear from you and what you’d hope to see technical blog posts on!
Because so many of you have sent me private messages asking: We’ve added a subcategory to #community:blog, called #community:blog-ideas!
You can submit ideas you have for blogs you’d like to see, and most importantly you can vote on the ones you want to see! Let us know below, and vote on the ideas you want to hear about next:
