Ambassador Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct supplements the Ambassador Program Agreement and the Developer Community Code of Conduct. As an Ambassador or Expert Ambassador, you are a leader and role model in the SailPoint Developer Community and as such are held to a higher standard.

This Code of Conduct applies to all community members who have been accepted into the Ambassador Program at either the Ambassador or Expert Ambassador tier.

Expectations

Community participation

  • Follow all community guidelines and demonstrate thorough research and testing
  • Provide complete, well-documented answers
  • Cite sources and disclose AI assistance
  • Welcome new members, give constructive feedback, and help elevate community quality
  • Correct your own mistakes promptly and flag low-quality content
  • Never post untested code or unverified solutions
  • Avoid low-effort contributions that don't genuinely help others

Confidentiality

  • Never disclose product roadmap information, unreleased features, early access materials, or any other confidential information received through your Ambassador status
  • Sandbox/test tenants are for your use only. Do not share credentials or grant unauthorized access.
  • Remove personally identifiable information and sensitive data from all examples

Brand and representation

  • Make clear you are a community volunteer, not a SailPoint employee
  • Distinguish your personal opinions from official SailPoint positions
  • Follow SailPoint Brand Center guidelines for logos and brand assets

Professional conduct

  • Zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or abuse
  • Be respectful in disagreement, de-escalate conflicts, don't amplify them
  • Keep your knowledge current, update outdated answers when products change, and maintain your Identity Security Leader Credential
  • Please keep the Ambassador chat focused on technical collaboration and community topics. For support needs, use the appropriate forum channels.

Accountability

Ambassadors are held to a higher standard than general community members. We believe in education first, but repeat violations will result in escalating consequences. SailPoint reserves the right to terminate your participation in the Ambassador Program at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with the Ambassador Program Agreement.

Some behaviors result in immediate removal from the Program, regardless of prior history:

  • Abuse of privileged access or confidential information
  • Misrepresenting your affiliation with SailPoint
  • Using Ambassador status to harass or intimidate others
  • Coordinated manipulation or fraud
  • Violations of confidentiality obligations
  • Breach of the Ambassador Program Agreement
