Hello everyone

I am working with Targeted type certifications in SailPoint IdentityIQ and noticed that pre-delegation rules do not support reassignment for this certification type

I would appreciate your guidance on
• What alternative approaches or best practices are recommended for handling reassignment in Targeted Certifications
• Has anyone implemented a custom solution, such as a workflow or rule, to address this limitation

Looking forward to learning from your experiences. Thank you for your help

hi @punna0001

Your right— **pre-delegation rules do not support reassignment in Targeted Certifications**. However, there are a few effective workarounds and best practices you can consider:

**Use a Certifier Rule in the Primary Certifier Field**

- Instead of relying on pre-delegation, you can define a **Certifier Rule** that dynamically assigns certifiers based on logic such as entitlement ownership, manager relationships, or other attributes.
- This rule should be placed in the **Primary Certifier** field during certification configuration

[Targeted Certification: Choose Certifier](https://documentation.sailpoint.com/identityiq/help/certification/targeted_certifier.html) hope this will help

I’ll explore configuring this. Thanks for the guidance!
