# Documentation for SAAS Web connector API Key

The documentation doesn’t state how it will use the API Token you provide on the Connections settings screen, nor does it provide a way to alter this. Thus I need to add an API key to every single request setup!

Hi @jcoutu,

Generate PAT token from your target application, if you choose application authorization type as an API token then provide token which generated from your target application, then use Authorization : $application.accesstoken$ in each https operation.

Thank you. This was supposed to be a comment on the page where this isn’t properly documented, but even after clicking the start discussion button on the documentation page I wasn’t able to start a discussion there, just the general topic post.
