# Approval Form – Show Manager Approval Request in SailPoint Dashboard (Not Only by Email)

Hello everyone,

I’ve created several **workflows** in **SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC)** for **Non-Employee Onboarding** , **Update** , and **Extension** processes.  
Each form collects non-employee data, and I also built a dedicated **Approval Form** that is sent to the **manager** for review before proceeding.

### **Problem:**

Currently, the approval form is sent to the manager **only by email** , and the manager can approve or reject directly from that link.

However, I need this approval request to also **appear inside SailPoint** — for example, on the **Dashboard → My Tasks** or in **Notifications** — so the manager can review and approve it from within the SailPoint portal (not just via email).

**Question:**  
How can I configure the workflow or approval form so that the approval task is **visible on the SailPoint dashboard** or **appears as a notification** to the assigned manager?

Hello Ahmed,

I was building a similar setup and reached out to the professional services for this.  
Sadly their answer was that there is currently no way to do that and/or to retrieve the form link to be reused and sent by another way 😕

Hi @ahmed119 ,

Can you please elaborate on how you have managed the approvals for Non-Employee Onboarding.

We are using combination of Form + workflow to manage the non-employee onboarding. However, we need some help in configuring multi-level of approvals before identity getting created.

Can you please advice.

Hi,

Yes, I’m also using a combination of **Forms + Workflows** for Non-Employee Onboarding approvals.

What I’ve done is create a dedicated **Approval Form** that shows the manager all the Non-Employee data, along with a field to capture their decision (Approve / Reject).  
The workflow sends this form to the manager, and based on the response:

- **If approved:** the workflow continues to the next steps (account creation, access assignment, etc.)

- **If rejected:** the workflow stops immediately.

If you need **multi-level approvals** , you can simply add additional approval steps in the workflow (e.g., Manager → Department Head → HR → Security), each one using its own approval form or the same form reused.
