# **Business Problem**

Machine identities such as applications, bots, and AI agents hold critical access. Organizations need to not only govern their existing access but also be able to _request new_ access for those identities and their accounts.

The SailPoint Discovery process researches business problems for potential inclusion in future product development efforts. In this case, we are exploring ways to introduce access request flows for machine identities and machine accounts in ISC.

- Share your use cases for requesting access on behalf of machine identities or accounts.

- Tell us how approvals should work — e.g., should the identity owner, account owner, or governance group be involved?

- Help us understand whether you need bulk requests for multiple machines or single-account requests.
